Oscar Karnalim is an Associate Professor (Informatics Engineering) and Vice Rector I at Maranatha Christian University, Indonesia. As one of IEEE Computer Society's Top 30 Early Career Professionals for 2025, his work drives significant social impact by applying artificial intelligence to address real-world challenges in ethics and public discourse. He has published more than 100 research papers and has received at least 1800 citations. Oscar has been involved in many international research and community service collaborations. His collaborators are from Australia, Canada, the USA, the Netherlands, Ireland, the UK, Finland, France, and Sweden. Because of his expertise, Oscar is invited to deliver talks at many international forums across Romania, Tunisia, Japan, China, Thailand, India, and the Philippines.
